We no longer recommend refurbished hardware. We have found that the warranties are not adequate for the veterinary industry. The turn-around time takes too long to process, and we cannot, in good-faith, provide refurbished units to our valuable customers when we know a repair could affect your practice for weeks. We have also found that refurb companies are putting low quality components with high failure rates into their units. In spite of our request for these components to not be used, refurb companies continue to do this. This is unacceptable in our view, and Veterinary Digital Solutions will not stand behind this business practice for our customers. We have also experienced problems with some new computer companies, with pricing and support being a challenge. We currently supply new DELL computers with 3 year onsite warranty for our customers. Changes to our hardware policy will be updated here.
